Terms of use

Last updated 7 October 2026

These terms apply when you use poisemoney.co.uk and the Poise budgeting app. By creating an account you agree to them. They are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Not financial advice

Poise is a budgeting tool. Its figures, calculators, AI suggestions and articles are general information only and are not financial, tax, debt or benefits advice. Poise Money is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. For free, impartial help, contact MoneyHelper or Citizens Advice.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details safe and give accurate information. Budget data is stored on your device, so clearing your browser may remove it; use the export option to keep a backup.

Subscriptions and cancellation

  • Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel.
  • New accounts get a 30-day free trial with no card needed. When it ends, the planner becomes read-only until you subscribe; nothing is deleted.
  • The founding-member lifetime plan is a one-off payment for access to Poise for as long as we run the service, limited to a set number of places.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • You have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. If you start using paid features straight away, you agree that a proportionate charge may apply.

Fair use

Do not misuse the service, attempt to break its security, or use it for anything unlawful.

Third-party links

Some pages link to other companies, and some links may be affiliate links. We are not responsible for their products, terms or websites.

Liability

We work hard to keep Poise accurate and available but cannot guarantee it is error-free. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
