Poise Money ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through poisemoney.co.uk. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and sign-in information.
• Subscription details: plan and payment status. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store them.
• Email preferences: if you sign up to our newsletter or calendar reminders, your email, the choices you ticked and when.
• Technical data: essential cookies and anonymous page-performance measurements.

Your budget, income and spending entries are stored on your own device, not on our servers. If you use the AI starter budget, the figures you enter are sent to our AI provider to create the plan and are not kept afterwards.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

• To provide your account and subscription (contract).
• To send emails you asked for (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
• To keep the site secure and working well (legitimate interests).
• To meet tax and accounting duties (legal obligation).

Who we share it with

Only service providers who help us run Poise: hosting and database, email delivery, Stripe for payments, and our AI provider. We do not sell your data and we do not use advertising tracking pixels.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is open and deleted within 30 days of closing it, except payment records we must keep for six years.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email help@poisemoney.co.uk. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember settings such as your theme. We do not use advertising cookies.
